About

It’s been an interesting ride for Mercury Amodio, the face of PBandU, a new family-owned peanut butter adventure.  Mercury, you might say, did a complete about-face when she traded in her music-focused career for, well, peanut butter.

Mercury, who’d attended the Creative and Performing Arts High School in Philadelphia and went on to get a degree in Music Education, spent five years honing her talents within the music industry in New York City. After discovering that something she’d devoted so much time to wasn’t as fulfilling as imagined, this Philly native packed up her New York apartment and moved back to her hometown with her new husband.

The first step for every entrepreneur is a willingness to take a risk, and it didn’t take long for Mercury to realize she’d made the right decision.

With the fresh start came an idea for a new business venture – along with the exciting news of a “peanut” in the oven. Luckily, the footprint for her new business was as kid-friendly as it comes, and a great way to celebrate her favorite childhood food.  PBandU brings this new mom’s childhood fantasy to life and gives all kids (even us big ones) a reason to drool, er, dream.
